Website use

This website presents the work and services of Cheney Works. You may browse it and submit genuine commission inquiries for lawful purposes. You may not misuse the site, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, or copy, scrape, republish, or commercially exploit its content without written permission.

Quotes and commissions

Submitting an inquiry does not create a commission or obligate either party. Each artwork is quoted individually. A commission begins only after the scope, price, and applicable details are approved in writing and the required deposit is received.

Unless a written commission agreement says otherwise, a 50% deposit is due upon approval and the remaining balance, together with shipping charges, is due before shipment or release of the artwork.

Design and handmade variation

Concept renderings, photographs, dimensions, colors, and samples are illustrative. Natural grain, tone, knots, epoxy, hand-finishing, and other material characteristics vary from piece to piece. These differences are part of the work and are not defects.

Clients are responsible for reviewing and approving the design information provided before fabrication. Material changes requested after approval may affect price and timing.

Shipping and delivery

Shipping is not included unless expressly stated in a written quote. Insured, custom-crated shipping may be arranged based on the finished size and destination. Delivery dates are estimates and may be affected by fabrication, carrier, weather, customs, or other circumstances outside our control.

International customers are responsible for customs clearance and all import duties, tariffs, VAT, taxes, brokerage fees, and similar destination charges. Local pickup may be arranged in Utah.

Returns and damage

Because each commission is made to order, commissioned artwork is final sale. Photographs or video of the finished piece are available before shipment. If a shipment arrives visibly damaged, preserve the packaging, photograph the artwork and crate, note the damage with the carrier, and contact us promptly so an insurance claim can be evaluated.

Third-party names and rights

Course, club, circuit, race, event, series, organization, and location names—as well as related logos, trademarks, copyrights, layouts, and other proprietary material—remain the property of their respective owners.

Cheney Works creates independent artistic interpretations. Unless expressly stated, Cheney Works is not affiliated with, sponsored by, licensed by, or endorsed by any depicted golf course, club, race circuit, racing series, event, governing body, or other organization. Displaying a subject does not claim ownership of third-party intellectual property.

Cheney Works content

The original artwork, photographs, renderings, site design, text, logo, and other Cheney Works materials are owned by Cheney Works or used with permission and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Purchase of an artwork transfers ownership of the physical piece only and does not transfer reproduction, commercial-use, or other intellectual-property rights unless agreed in writing.

Disclaimers and liability

The website is provided on an “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cheney Works disclaims implied warranties relating to the website and is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use of the website. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Governing terms

A signed proposal, invoice, or commission agreement may include project-specific terms. If it conflicts with these website terms, the project-specific written agreement controls for that commission.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. We may update these terms by posting a revised version and date. Questions may be sent through the inquiry form.
